The Department of Biology, FMIPA UNP, in this case the Sumatran Biodiversity Research Group (KHS), took part in the 11th Indonesian Entomology Congress.

Rijal Satria, Ph.D (Staff Lecturer at the Department of Biology, FMIPA UNP and Head of the KHS Research Group), Meliana Gusti, S.Si., Nela Berliani, S.Si., and Rini Wulandari (Students at the Department of Biology, FMIPA UNP) also presented the Manuscript articles that will be published at this event.

This activity, which is carried out every 4 years, is a collaboration between
The Central Indonesian Entomological Association (PEI), and the Plant Protection Department of Andalas University, Padang as hosts. ICCESI was attended by 230 participants from various countries, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, Australia, India, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, United States as well as several cities and provinces in India such as Medan, Padang, Riau, Palembang, Lampung, Jambi, Bengkulu, Bandung , Bogor, Yogyakarta, Malang, Bali, Kalimantan, Makassar, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and Papua.
