Five Padang State University (UNP) students who are members of the Student Creativity Program (PKM) team in the field of Community Service (PM) launched a unique program to strengthen food security and increase the entrepreneurial spirit of PKK Dasawisma women in North Sipora, Mentawai Islands Regency.

The program implemented is called Talas Integrative Agribusiness. As the name suggests, this program consists of an agribusiness subsystem from upstream to downstream which will be implemented as an effort to build an entrepreneurial foundation to improve the economic welfare of the Mentawai community by optimizing taro as a local food commodity.

The PKM team, named Mentaro, is chaired by Amanda Elza Pratiwi (Biology 2020) and consists of Rendi Prayoga (Geography 2019), Alda Deria (Biology Education 2020), Aufa Rafiqi (Biology 2020), and Muhammad Zikri (Biology 2020), with lecturers Siska's companion Alicia Farma, S.Pd., M.Biomed., Lecturer at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Padang State University (FMIPA UNP).
