"Tracing the Trail of Elio Modigliani's Adventures"

The names of Alfred Russel Wallace, Thomas Stamford Raffles and Charles Darwin, are names of tough and famous explorers who made the greatest contribution to biodiversity. Don't forget Elio Modigliani who was just as tough and daring to enter the realm of the beheading tribe.

Since 1886 Elio Modigliani explored the islands in the western part of Sumatra, including the Mentawai Islands. Many specimens were collected by Modigliani, who for ants were reported by Carlo Emery in 1900.

The Sumatra Biodiversity Team (KHS) again wants to trace the adventures of Elio Modigliani, and reveal and compare the biodiversity in these areas.

Hopefully this expedition goes well, smoothly, the target is achieved and the trail can be followed.
